Pride Games 2008 Manchester is an annual inclusive international mutli-sports tournament focusing on Lesbian Gay Bisexuals. Events will open with the Alexandra Park Opening Fun Day, a charity fundraiser for the George House Trust. Events will include; rugby league, climbing wall, community charity relays, dunk tank and the popular 5k run. Starts at 10.30am, Sunday 7th September 2008. Kicking off a week of fabulous tasters events and leading into a weekend of participative competitions and concluding with the Sport For All Festival on Salford Quays Sept 14th – 30 events in total and it's open to all.
The programme includes: Athletics, 5k and 10k Runs, Charity Relays, Swimming, Water Polo, Rugby, Men's and Women's Football, Badminton, Dancing, Archery, Mountain Biking, Aquathlon, Squash, Sailing, Kayaking, Youth Games, the famous Bell Boat Regatta and a Grand Ball!
