ChurchillsChurchills is one of the biggest, busiest venues in the gay village. They put on entertainment seven nights a week making it a winner with locals and visitors alike.

It has two bars - a smaller, quieter traditional bar and a modern bar with stage and dance floor.

Cruz is open every night, except Tuesdays, from 11.00pm.

EssentialHuge gay club located at the end of the Gay Village on Minshull Street. Essential is over three floors and is the popular destination for most with a music policy that ranges between cheesy pop (usually upstairs) and harder dance music (downstairs).

FederationFederation made its name in Leeds but has hit Manchester proper. It takes over the Ritz nightclub on Whitworth Street - with a capacity of over 1300. Get your tickets early as these usually go well in advance.

Clubbers are often treated to crazy stilt walkers, performers and more oiled up buff guys than you can shake your stick at.

LegendsEvery Saturday night and on some Fridays and Sundays, the doors to Legends open to reveal Manchester's largest and most maze like club.

The club is made up of four distinct areas, three levels and a different atmosphere in every room.  

Club nights inlcude - HomoElectric, Club Lash, Bollox, Alert!, Twisted Wheel and Manbears.

Napoleon'sNapoleon's is a bar and small club that can rightly claim to be the old gay club in Manchester. Whether that is a good thing is up to you to decide.

It's famously popular with the T crowd but also very welcoming of the LGB peeps as well! Open Mondays - Saturday from 10pm to 2am.

PoptasticPoptastic is a brilliant alternative night mashing up indie with pure queer heaven. Promoter  Jon Hamilton wanted to offer an alternative to Manchester’s house-obsessed, muscled-up Gay Village and hit on the unthinkable – a clubnight where Indie Kids and Pop Queens came together to dance, drink while dancing to their favourite tunes.

Check it out every Tuesday & Saturday from 11pm to 3.30am
